Okay, I'm just going to get a little silly for a minute. This is a scene I would love to read in a future Killer Unicorns book.
Now, Diana didn't mention Astrid's middle name in Rampant, so I made one up for this brief interlude. Everyone, please finish your drinks before reading the rest of this. And Diana, please don't kill me.
Now, for your (I hope) enjoyment and amusement:
They set me down at the feet of a woman dressed as what I suppose was Don Quixote. She was wearing a suit of armor that probably would not have fit anyone, and a bushy gray mustache that was definitely not a match for the dark hair peeking out from under the saucepan she wore as a helmet. She lifted a rusted old sword, and tapped me with it first on the right shoulder, and then the left as she spoke:
"From this moment on, you are no longer Barbarian-So-Called Astrid Alexandra Llewellyn. By the order of our Order, I dub thee Lucky, Knight of Persephone, Order of Rose & Grave."
